College funding has been a popular topic among our nation. 75% percent of high school seniors are accepted to their first choice colleges. On the other hand, 57% of them cannot afford to do so (Megan 2014). The average family income is about $55,000 per year. The average tuition for a public four-year university is about $20,000 per year. That’s about half the family income. Families still have a lot of other expenses to pay for on top of that. In result, a student would have to take out loans and be in debt after graduating college. According to Project on Student Debt, â€Å"Seven in 10 seniors (69%) who graduated from public and nonprofit colleges in 2014 had student loan debt, with an average of $28,950 per borrower.
